A girl I work with has been dealing with colon cancer for a few years and also has liver mets. Went for chemo Friday and instead of doing chemo they drained 4 liters of fluid from her abdomen. And it appeared to have re-accumulated over the weekend. She had to go in for a pet scan today but have not heard anything from her which concerns us. Has anyone had the experience of having that much fluid drained at one time and have it build back up that fast? Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.
