I think that there is a possibility that my existing bone mets, which have been stable for about 4 years, may now be getting larger. I also have a problem cough as well, which I am a bit concerned about, although am hoping that it's just a chest infection.
Anyway, I am going to see my G.P. on Friday, where I expect that he will listen to my chest and send me for a plain film chest x-ray. I cannot see my oncologist until 18th April which is okay with me because IF this is a chest infection then I can hopefully get it cleared up before my onc. orders a bone scan (you have to stay really still when having those things).
Arimidex has been good for me so far Mckenzie, and it is a marvellous drug - and of course I am hoping that I am wrong about further growth of my bone mets. Who knows, it may be a chest infection and all the coughing that I am doing is causing pain in my sternum (where my known bone mets are).
As far as what your oncologist told you, I'm sure that he/she will be basing what they said to you on your own individual tumour characteristics.
Thanks for your best wishes.
