Thanks for replying, I know I lost a few so called friends myself when first dx and know how this hurts. I think it's possible she may have been overwhelmed by our good intentions but you make a good point in that, although she did want to be alone for a while (I suspect) I worry now she is totally depressed and not sure how to communicate with us all again or find our support. I'll certainly keep the weekly e mails and cards going to her even if I hear nothing back so at least she knows we're here when she's ready and able. Thanks for your thoughts
