Dear Donna S. I was told the same thing when i first was told of mets. i was in so much pain from it that i told doc I wouldn't take it. But thinking back if it did its job and kept me off chemo i may have been better off taking it and also taking pain meds for the back pain it caused. If your doc is keeping a lcose eye on progression then i would be comfortable being on the arimedex at the start. hope you are feeling well today. luv Matti
