You guys are always so helpful I turn to you in times of confusion and thank you for that. Was dx 6 weeks ago with recurrence to upper and lower auxillary nodes and mammary nodes (per pet and cat scans) Has 2 auxillary nodes removed - recurrence of same bc on same side 6 yrs ago. e.r. pos., p.r. neg., her2 neg. I have several nodes throughout my chest involved. Just came from onc. She says take my arimidex for addition 2 months (already been on for 4 weeks). have repeat scans on May 14. If scans not better then we will consider chemo and rads. Number 1, has anyone had their doctor handle this the same way for similar recurrence. Number 2, can arimidex keep you from needing chemo and rads for a long time. Thanks for any input.
