Hi Anne, I don't think that there is anything yet that can tell us whether or not we will not have success with a drug. It is wonderful that you had over 12 years! That itself is a positive factor in your fighting the cancer. There are also investigational treatments. Which meds have your tried? Where are your mets? Are you hormone receptor positive? Herceptin positive? I ham triple negative - no to trogen/Progestin/Herceptin
receptors being positive. I want to be here for my family. My current chemotherapy is "doable" I just need to find out now that it IS WORKING.
Are you in pain? What is it that you feel that you are putting your family through? I think that though my family doesn't like seeing me with cancer that they will take whatever good times we can get. I feel that way most of the time. Ask questions here, look for women here who can answer your questions. We will be here for you!
