Dear Kathy, I am so sorry for what you have had to endure over the past few days. I had a poor hospital stay and know how you feel. It did make me feel better to compose a letter detailing every issue that I felt was wrong. And this was all while my husband was hospital chief of staff! I took my letter directly to the hospital president. Within a short time I had the nursing manager and patient representative at my home to investigate things further. I do not know why some doctors and nurses are so good at pain management and others are so poor. You may also want to tell your oncologist about what happened. I would not want to have the same group stick me with a needle again. Venting my problems to people who could change treatment for future patients helped me.
In the meantime get lots of rest and pampering, watch all of your favorite movies and eat whatever you want. Love and prayers to you, too. Nancy
