well, all of this for nothing--had the appt with the onc, and then i thought i was onto chemo which he scheduled last week, now today he says i can't have chemo until i have the surgery---if i even do have the surgery (for the fluid in/or around my lung from the plueresy. my body is so shot that he fears if i have started the chemo, then i will take months and months and months (no exaggeration) to heal as has happened in the past. so, as much as i was dreading it, i was kind of let down also, i just wanted to start it and get it going. i'll keep you informed and let me know if you think of any more info--i got the print out, but also trust first hand knowledge more. even though i know side effects are different for everyone. again, thank you for all of your helpfull insights.--hugs--kathy
