Wow.... I had a complication during my one thoracentesis, and had nerve pain, and it was excrutiating and yes, inhumane..... I gathered in my case that it was sort of accidental and unintentional, although I never really did get the full details of exactly what happened to me.
Is the procedure you had called a TALC? I am dreading any more procedures to my lungs. My most recent pleural effusion has gone away with my newest chemo, although my lung has yet to reinflate. This lung mets thing really is a very distressing disease.
