Matti, I am sorry that you had any of the procedure done without anesthesia. The pleura is very sensitive and just having it touched is painful. Since you are still accumulating fluid I would say that you are right that it didn't work. Do you feel much different physically when the fluid is gone? Do you breath better? As a pharmacist, I used to make the Tetracycline infusions that would "burn" the areas causing them to "scar" together. I know that this sounds frightening, as I have lung involvement it scares me, too. Keep in touch.
