Hi, I couldn't open Kathy or Anne's messages either.
I had one thorocentesis with local anesthetic. It did not hurt bad enough for me to want more sedation, but I only had about 500cc out. So far, fingers crossed, mine has stayed gone. There are ways of sealing the lung to the lining, but like Anne, I would be hesitant to do that. Sincerely,
