Hello, I had a mammogram then ultra sound with needle biopsy. Saw my doctor was told it was not cancer, but there was a second opinion coming in, was called back to office 1 week later.
I was told good news that there was no cancer, but they saw something that looked unusual an want to do a lumpectomy to make sure that there is no cancer. Was scheduled to see a surgeon that specializes in Breast Cancer, she thinks she may have found a second lump and has now scheduled me for another ultra sound she will do herself next Wed.
My question is, if there was no cancer, why must ( as they are telling me) have surgery, is there truly a risk that if I don't have this surgery, that I will endanger myself????
