I understand after evrything you just want to move on to the chemo...my thought was the sooner I start the sooner im DONE!
I too was delayed because of re-incisions with recon by about 3 weeks, they dont want to start chemo too soon after your surgeries or reincisions because once you start chemo "nothing heals correctly" (my Plastic said) as chemo hits our system hard, makes sense? I know a few gals who had surgery (masc & recon AFTER chemo sometimes docs due this when the tumor is large to shrink it 1st and surgery later...ALOT OF BIG PROBLEMS with healing & infections doing this post chemo.
Good thing you got the recon for thr most part out of the way before chemo, it is just better on the healing process.
