Hi I have had two and not at the same time. No heavy lifting while recovering. It still requires an expander then an implant. The process can seem long depending on how well your body takes to the fills. If she needs radiation that can complicate the expanding. I am happy with the final result. Have scars on my back and what they term fisheye scars on both sides of the front. Had nipple tattoos done in December and finally feel like I am finished with recon.
good luck to your friend. PS they have been do this type of recon since around 1930 or so.
