I think it how often you get fills varies by plastic surgeon. My plastic surgeon is about 3 hours away, so I only go in about once a month. I have had four fills so far and am up to a total of about 450 mls. He wants me to be about 500-550 before the swap. My surgeon spent some time with me and explained everything to me. So talk with him and see what he says. Good luck.
