Jer, Sorry you are going through this. I have to admit that your surgeon isn't sounding too supportive. So what do you do about that. If it was me I might insist on having a one on one with him and telling him that what is happening here is not acceptable. If that doesn't work you might think about getting a new surgeon, someone that will be more compassionate and caring and willing to work with you. Is there a department within this hospital system that handles complaints? Is there someone to talk to?
