I had "lat flap" recon Oct. 2008. I have had a couple different surgeries, for a hernia, since. I'll take responsibility for the original hernia, but I have had a total of two surgeries, since and I now have another "big buldge" and some tenderness, from the hernia. I'm 2nd guessing myself, all of the time, about my choice. I have never had any feeling, other than itching, which I am told is a good sign of returning feeling.(I don't understand how itching my itch seems to help/satisfiy the itchy feeling, when there is no feeling, in that area). I am going to talk to my "primary" surgeon about the hernia this time. I'm thinking the plastic surgeon is not the greatest choice, for my hernia issue.
I know several of you have said you thought you made the right decision for yourselves, but I wonder. Any thoughts, would be most appreciated.
