I only did 26 days of rad. Was suppose to do 28 but I was burning so badly the dr didn't think the extra 2 days would be worth additional burning. I healed well after recon. The rad dr said my prospects for keeping the implant were good as my surgeons were able to keep enough tissue to support healing over it. I went from a DD to a C so they did have a lot to work with. The big question is where I'll be 5 years from now. That's when problems tend to show up. Can't recall what they're called right now - chemo brain. I'm 55.
