I had bilateral mast in July. Platic Surgeon advised me to wait until after chemo to talk about recon. I am 42, had 38DDs, and I am very glad I did not have expanders put in during surgery. My devoted honey admits that while they were fun, he has never been a breast man. I am about 95% sure that I will not have recon after chemo. It is a very personal decision, but one that I feel good about. I Hate having cancer...but I sure love goi8ng braless!! I also love the story of the topless woman on the beach. How inspirational!
Not that it matters, but I also do not wear breast prosthetises or a wig. I guess it's all about your own, personal comfort level.
