I had 2 lumpectomies in 7/06 followed by chemo and rad..In 1/08 I had a mammo and they found 2 more spots, I decided to have a bi-lateral mast. because I was triple negative which is aggresive. Ins. agreed. I had expanders put in in same surgery and five months later had my "twins" put in. I am not happy with my maked body, but I believed this was my best chance for a long survival.
You did not say whether you are triple neg. or not. It does make a difference.
I was a "D" cup before and am now a "B" and I had wished my entire life to have a smaller chest.
