I had nipple recon, and I can tell you it made a huge difference for me. I have had to have each one done twice, and would do it again if I had to for the results. I had to have a lat flap on a failed implant from expanders from years ago, same time as Sherry. So I had to have that one redone. Well, that one, then no longer matched the other side in size or shape really, as they were done by different surgeons from different states, and apparently, the procedure has improved. So I ended up having the other one redone to make them more even and level. They are not perfectly even height wise, (yet you would have to have a measuring tape to know it) but they are perfectly even size wise, and I have absolutely no qualms about going without a bra, as it looks completely natural. I really have to say it was no big deal having it done, no recovery time to speak of other than a dumb square sponge to wear for a while and no pain whatsoever. I have one lat flap and one plain implant from an expander. They don't have to match exactly to make it look good.
