I had a bilat mast with immediate recon. I had lat flaps with saline implants, 375 ccs. I developed and infection within 2 weeks of surgery. It was in one of my back incisions, so he added another drain for a total of 5. I developed capsular contracture so he did another surgery # 3 last September to remove the scar tissue and put 550 cc saline implants. I don't like the feel of my implants and even though they saved my nipples (I'm in a nipple sparing Clinical Trial) the mastectomy scars make them turn up like a turned up nose. I think they are also too large. I am having another surgery in Sept to, hopefully correct these issues. I am leaning toward silicone gel implants and would love to hear what others think of Mentor MemoryGel Silicone Gel-filled breast implants.
