I had the DIEP flap in March, and did find it pretty painful, however, I also rebounded very quickly. I was supposed to be out of work for 6-8 weeks, but came back after 4. The results look really good and I got a tummy tuck out of it as well. It's definitely a big surgery, so just be prepared and have someone who can help you for a few days.
