I had the same problem - bilat mast, immediate recon, developed major infection, had to have both expanders removed, recon redone 6 weeks later, and then my 4th surgery for the implant exchange. I did not have any rads, so that is why I was just able to have the same surgery done again. However, now I have a ruptured implant and have to have surgery again (#5) next month to have it replaced. I'm not sure at what point I will feel that "enough is enough" and have the implants both removed and just to prothesises, but I just can't bring myself to do that just yet. Any input on this from anyone with experience would be greatly appreciated.
