This is just a guess, but I think drains are almost an automatic part of breast cancer surgery. I don't think it's safe to take a chance on having fluid build up in that area. I'm fairly small breasted too, so no large implants or hard surgery for me. Your doc should be able to tell you if you'll be coming home with drains or not. If you have a chance to ask him/her, let me know what they say.
