Lois, my surgery was in 06 and I had a tram. I do have some issues with loss of strength with abdominal muscles and the loss of feeling from the neck to pubic bone is still daunting at times. I look normal in appearance and the scars are barely noticable. I went from 36DD to a 36 B and that is nice. From all I have talked with there is not any recon that will make us look and feel 100% normal but we can come close to what we can live with. Whatever you decide has to feel right to you. Find a dr and hospital that will do what you want done. Good luck and best prayers.
