I was 42 when diagnosed (6/08) and had several complications. I had a mastectomy done 8/08 with a tissue expander placed at the time of the surgery. I was not a good canidate for tram flap and was not interested in DIEP (lengthy post op recovery.) I had my implant (saline for safety) done on 4/20 and am very happy with its appearance and feel. I think it's very similar to the opposing breast.
