I had a bilateral in an outpatient basis. Ask your Dr about a pain med delivery system that is delivered by a coil under the skin, similar to the drains. The med is continualy delivered to where it's actually needed and doesn't mess with your mind. If he/she doesn't know what your talking about have them call my surgeon, Dr. Heithold at 7068589331, EST. I believe I did so very well with the recovery because I was never in pain and I have full use of both my arms.
