Hi Sarah. I'm having surgery next week to replace my implant (capsular contracture) and the other side will be fixed to improve matching, with slight augmentation. I had postponed this for 2 years because of your doubts. But my gyn had promised that it will not interfere and that if some doubt arises, we can do an MRI. He says that the implant can be subtracted from the image by software. This and the fact that capsular contracture is starting to hurt has helped me with the decision.
