Hi Marie, I don't really know why they would tell you you could be back to work 3 days after a double mastectomy with expander placement. I really don't think that is reasonable. The first few days for me are a blurry memory. My daughter was crowned Miss Teen Colorado on the 10th day after my surgery. My husband somehow got me dressed and there, but I don't really remember much of anything and he was horrified when I started signing the contracts for her. I know how much you need to be there for your business, but you also need to be there for yourself. I would be highly surprised if you were functioning on a level to go to work with all your drains and pain meds. I'm sorry, but I just can't believe they would tell you that.
