Cece - I know how you feel, my breasts were one of my few assets but I don't think of them as part of my femininity or sexuality anymore, I just think of them as the part of body that nearly killed me and the part of my body that gave life (breastfed) to my child.
Maybe male ps are more understanding...but to be honest I was a bit embarassed on my last visit because my ps is absoloutley GORGEOUS and so I felt a bit odd about lying there, exposing the worst part of my body to him while he prodded about!
Cece and Sherry - I am from the UK, here it is standard proceedure to see a clinical psychologist before surgery of this kind (also for other 'cosmetic' type due to illness/accident eg. skin/body disfigurement).
