I had my bilat mast in July, 2007, and my 4th and final surgery in Feb, 2008. I am numb from the back of my arms and all the way across my newly reconstructed breasts. I hear it will be that way forever because of the extensive nerve damage, but to me, that's not so bad, because as of now I am cancer free and I can deal with the numbness. As the others here have said, you will get used to it. Best of luck to you in your recovery process.
