Hi Mary,

I had capsular contracture of my expander and also of my first implant (saline, under the pec). It was very hard and sort of protruding upward. When I had it redone with the LD flap and implant (saline), the old capsule was completely removed. That was 4 years ago. I'm so glad I did it. It's nice and soft, very comfortable. I have the traditional type of implant, not the polyurethane one that you mentioned. Haven't had any more capsular contracture. Hope I never do again, though my PS said it can happen at any time, even years later.
