Ok ladies here's the question of the day. I had radiation 6 years ago and started recon in Jan 08.
Tissue expander that failed during 7th fill.

I am three weeks out on my lat flap and doing wonderfully. On May 19th we will probably begin filling with 60cc per fill.

For those of you who have had an expander with a lat flap how was the discomfort during the fills?

I had no trouble with 1,2,and 3 before but after that it got so tight against my chest sometimes it was hard to breath. I believe that was due to the radiated skin not expanding like regular tissue would.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.
