Arlene,
First off. Breathe deeply. And try to think of something to smile about. Like good and caring friends or/and family. Do you have hair on your head? eyelashes? health insurance? I understand the surgery being put off and that disappointment that comes with that as I was to have had a reconstruction surgery last week but they put it off till the first week of June. I know the trauma of having a deformed chest and all that means. I too gained wight during chemo an hte drs said that it's very common for bc chemo women these days and I can'tseem to get it off no matter what I try. I've even tried just plan old stravation and that doesn't help one bit and then I had a tummy tuck that I'M STILL PAYING FOR AND i LOOK BETTER BUT i'VE LOST NOT ONE POUND ON THE SCALE AND that was even with liposuction on my tummy at the time. If anyone has any suggestion on how to lose the weight I'd love to hear about it. I've tried low fat and Adkins too the things that had helped me pre cancer to no avail.
We just have to try to be satisfied with being alive and try our best to get back to our precancerous selves.
