Posted by The_Deuce on 7/9/2001, 12:41 pm Then, all hell broke loose. Steeldog players ran onto the field in a frenzy, pleading their cases with the refs, who called for security ASAP. I almost ran onto the field to plead my case, until I felt the grip of a security officers hand around my collar. Needless to say, the players were furious, as well as I. The officials cost the Steeldogs a pivotal game, not just a rivalry game, but a game that had playoff implications. Out of all the football games I have seen in my life, this is a top ten. It was a battle of champions, a well played game between two evenly matched and talented teams. Its just too bad that the men who are suppost to keep things fair, did just the opposite." Sure It was a close call,B-Ham wanted it,but jeez enoughs enough.Last year when Kelly Feilds got tripped up in the Arena Cup the Vipers players didnt trash the QC locker room.We pleaded our case on the QC board and we get called whiners STILL by 1 or 2 guys...yes im mainly talking to you Jolly Rancher you racial...oh nevermind. Now we are playing the role of QC fans like Jolly Rancher, but wont be so hateful. When you screw up a teams locker room(that isnt in your arena)you prove your totally unsportsman like. The fans were harassing the players from their fan section.B-Ham was my 2nd fav team, but now when i see how their team takes defeat.I saw the play in full veiw too it was a catch like it or not,and the refs saw it my way.
"Sauk dropped back, faked a handoff to Pat House, then looked for tight end Andy Fuller. Now as a journalist, as a Christian, and as an honest man, I saw the play in full view, and from only 10 feet away. Fuller never had total control of the ball. He collapsed to the ground, as the ball bounced into his arms off the turf. The official paused for a second, then raised both arms into the air.
