Having just completed a total restoration of a vitage midget, i am up to date on the Ross box .Firstly the early cars used what is called a Single Peg box and later cars used the more common Twin Peg box's that were standard in Jeep's . The single pegs were standard fitment to a host of John Deer tractors from around 1946, the standard and utility ( from memory ). They were also available in left or right hand side output shaft .The drop arm from these units were also used without modification . Note these units are fragile with most of what is still available being knackerd but that is not to say unsalvagable . I have too much info to post here so may i suggest that you e mail me your contact details as i am more than happy to share my reearch with you .Oh yes by the way , my info came from the horses head ,Mr Bob Higgman an american midget owner of some 50 years who originally exported these box's to Australia to One Mr Don Mackay
