I leved in Paris between 1957 and 1959. The very first sports car race I ever saw was at Montlhery. I saw a Lotus XI beat a Mercedes 300 SL in the rain. I went to driver's school there and learned racing in a Panhard open wheeler. I actually participated in one competition there in 1959 when I crewed for a friend who raced his Alfa Veloce coup. This track has many memories for me. I saw Harry Schell drive his Ferrari Toutr de France again Olivier Gendebien in the Tour de France. I saw several great formula two races there including one with Maston Gregory and Jean Behra. lease preserve this track!!!
