Musrtang 89 2.3l 4cyl..

Hi All, I own a 89 4cyl Mustang that I eventually want to set up for racing, what Im looking for is information - on what can be done to it , where I can get the parts (all places Ive checked only have bits for the 5.0 V8). For example can suspension parts shown for the 5.0l 89 LX fit my 2.3l LX?? What manual transmission will fit etc.. Any help or information gratefully accepted. Simon
