Posted by Adam I am a mech eng student at Northeastern University. I am currently starting a project car that I hope to race when it is finished. My school compete in the sae mini baja comp but for what ever reasons faculty doesnt agree with a formula sae team. So I decided to build my one car with my own funds. Basically I will be using a honda cbr 929r motor and 6spd gearbox, it will be a tubular spaceframe chassis with unequal length tubular control arms and pushrod suspension. I plan on using the formula sae standards as a loose guidline. If you are unfamilar with formula sae a here is a good example of a fsae car: http://www.formularpi.com/v2/default.php?page=2003 Okay so my question is, does anyone know of a club or association such as the scca that has a class that will allow me to race this type of vehicle. I will be attaining a racer's licnes this summer when the car is finished. Most likely an scca license. Also anyone with good racing parts for sale esp tires and shocks please let me know. Thanks
