SpeedWorks Racing, the official arrive and drive program for the Ford Mustang Challenge Series, has joined forces with Kenny Brown to provide engineering and driver coaching for its racers at all Series events for the 2009 season. Kenny’s experience with the Ford Mustang is almost unsurpassed in his field with 20 years working with the Mustang in racing and high-performance aftermarket products. He has developed, raced and won four National Championships with the Mustang platform, and his many years of success in club and professional motorsports enhances the SpeedWorks team’s proven experience of putting drivers on the podium.
SpeedWorks offers Mustang Challenge racers three high quality programs:
1. full-support arrive and drive rentals
2. full-support driver-owned car arrive and drive; and
3. coaching and training.
Our full-support arrive and drive rental program offers racers an affordable, hassle-free way to go racing. You just show up with your driver’s suit, helmet, Hans device and Grand-Am license. We provide a competitively-prepared race car, vehicle transportation to and from the track, crew, engineer, driver coach, fuel, entry fees, and one set of new tires for each race.
Our arrive and drive program for driver-owned cars includes servicing and maintaining your car year-round, housing it in our Indianapolis shop, transporting it to and from races, and providing you full race support with our experienced crew. You just show up at the track.
Our coaching and training programs are designed to improve and expand your performance driving skills. We provide personalized instruction, coaching, testing sessions and high-performance driving experiences.
The SpeedWorks staff and crew have raced at all major race tracks in the country and in most major Series from club to professional including Midgets and USAC sprint cars, NASCAR, SCCA, Mustang Challenge, and the pinnacle of racing, the Indianapolis 500, where co-owner Peter Parrott won two titles as crew chief for Rick Mears.
The Mustang Challenge allows racers to measure themselves with equal cars, on the same tires … to line up on large, competitive grids, to earn prize money and have a great time doing it all!
This Series is easier on the wallet than many other Series and with cost-efficient double race weekends, the Ford Mustang Challenge is the best deal for your money. And, SpeedWorks can give you a cost-effective and reasonable budget for the full-season or race-by-race, plus we offer a discounted rate for a full-season commitment.
Call or email Peter Parrott today at (317) 241-3664 or parrott@speedworksracing.com and start the 10-race season with the double-header at Homestead Miami Speedway on March 14. And check out our Web site at www.SpeedWorksRD.com.
