Either just extrude your sausages of bait from the bait gun and then boil in say 6" lengths. When they are done, cut/ chop into whatever lengths you need to match your needs. This gives an "open" end for fast release of flavour/ attraction.
Alternatively extrude your sausages of bait in say 14mm diameter and then roll them lightly on a 22mm roller, and boil as usual. This gives a "sealed" bait, for slower breakdown / leakage.
I've used both methods in the past, both are quite fiddly but eventually they work.
