In my opinion - Subtle quantities of any good attractor keep a bait safe as the carp find it harder to distinguish a certain attractor if used correctly. I've used the same bait mix and flavour for 5 years and still i catch more than most on my lake, with the exception of those who use Simons Squid based flavoured mixes, who seem to take the water apart time and time again.
