any tips to catching your so called nuisence fish and smaller carp

im a matchman, and are looking for any little edges i can get.i know you carp anglers can get plagued by false alarms and so called nuicense fish from time to time but wonder whether you can give me any tips or recipes that will catch the fish that you try so hard not to catch,But are my main target for winning matches. I have experimented with lots of products but do not really understand how much of additives to add to things ie betaine, csl,glm,amino's and multimino's if they will actually help or hinder me in the addition to groundbaits.
