Sorry for not getting back sooner, but I've been a bit busy. As far as bait goes
you are already using the best there is. Now concerning location the island doesn't seem to produce in the winter but can be very good in the summer. The first 4 pegs on the pool are the best bet especially the one opposite the snags,
fish tight against the rushes but don't forget the margins at night. I don't know about having it as your main
water as it will no longer be a day ticket water (syndicate as from April-may) on a good day you can expect about 6 or more fish all low doubles, 15Lb being very good although we are hoping to get
most of the small fish removed this will obviously make the fishing allot harder it will hopefully
encourage more 20's in the future (currently only about 3 around this weight)
best I have had from there was 16.8 and i've caught quite a few.
hope this all helps.
: Thanks for the response phil. I would like to
: know what the best pegs are for this time
: of year (late feb-April). I have fished
: penns hall once before and it was last
: weekend. I blanked. I had 1 run and
: fished under the willow tree on the island
: 1st and had no joy, so i moved about 4 or
: 5 pegs futher down and also had nothing.
: (i had my run from here). I done a 24 hour
: session. I used my patshull park boilies
: with squid flavouring. What do u use and
: what have u caught? I think i am going to
: choose this water as main 1 from now.
: Although i didnt catch nothing i still
: enjoyed myself and it makes a difference
: when u know there is a good head of fish
: sitting infront of u. What rigs are good
: too? How often do u fish Penns Hall?
