Who would have thought she smoked?

So this isn't technically a true sighting, since it's not something I have seen with my eyes, but I still feel everyone will enjoy it. This is about someone I have been talking to online.
This woman is in her early 30s. She current smokes at least 3 packs of Camel wides per day. She started smoking when she was 8 years old. By age 9 she was doing a pack a day and up to 2 packs by age 11. Her growth slowed after that and she didn't hit 3 packs a day till she was 17. She got pregnant at 16 and didn't cut down, but miscaried. She got pregnant again at 20 and quit right away, but restarted after 4 months and increase back to her 3 packs a day by the time the baby was around. She was never able to breast feed, but always smoked around her daughter.
She was born with asthma, as was her daughter, and it has plagued her for her entire life. It didn't stop her from starting smoking, even though smoking made her asthma worse. Just before we started talking (about 6 months ago) she had quit smoking again, due to health reasons, but I convinced her to start again. There have been periods of time in her past where she smoked as heavily as 6 packs a day. She is also a chronic pot smoker and currently smokes about one ounce per week.
Her daughter no longer lives with her (due to a lost custody battle). At age 11, her daughter start smoking. She had been curious about it for some time and this woman left packs of cigarettes around with the express purpose of giving her every opportunity to start. Within a few months, the daughter was up to a pack a day. Smoking made her sthma immediately worse, and she even spent some time in the hospital due to an attack. Despite that, her asthma was has never been as bad as her mother's. Even comparing their asthma at 7 years old, the woman's was worse. After 4 months of smoking, the daughter was moved to another state and away from her mother and no longer smokes. Despite losing custody and her being several states away, the mother has offered to supply her with cigarettes so she can still smoke. She recently tried to regain custody of her daughter but was unable.
I wish our conversations over the last 6 months had been much more common and lenghty, but they have onyl been sporadic. I just recently found out that she is raising her godson, who is 17. When I asked about smoking, she said she smokes around him because he smokes. He does not asthma. When he first moved in with her, he was 12 but already smoking 1-2 packs a day. He had been smoking since 10 years old. She said that here recently, possibly sicne she started smoking again herself, he has been smoking as much, or more than, her. When I asked if this meant about 4 packs a day (as she does 3-4 usually herself) she indicated it was more like 5-6. She said that he also smokes pot with her but did not indicate how much.
For those of you who like BBWs, you may be interested to know that she is about 5'5 and 250 pounds but was once as much as 300 (she would probably be bigger if not from complications due to her smoking).
I am currently trying to find out much more about the situation. I wonder if her godson is in school still or if she let him drop out? I wonder if he has a job, or if she just buys him as many cigarettes and as much pot as he wants? I wonder if she encourages him to smoke a lot and not worry about it? I wonder if he has a girlfriend and how heavily she smokes? I wonder if, if he has a girlfriend, if she might get pregnant soon? Despite her saying so to the contrary, I wodner if he had anything to do with her daughter starting to smoke? I also wonder if he is increasing and if she is encouraging him to do so?
I also wonder how she was able to start smoking at 8 years old and obtain 2 packs a day at 11? I wonder how heavily her parents, and her godson's parents, smoked?
There are a great many questions left unanswered at this point, but I hope to find out more soon.
