Who would have thought she smoked?

Also, she must be a very light smoker. Especially to only smoke on the first part of her lunch break and not the last. I would be gone the whole hour if I was her! Maybe go to a secluded area of a park to read or something...

: It IS very hard to hide
: smoking from a
: significant other, I can
: totally attest to that.
: I was married for a
: short time, and I hid it
: from her the whole time.
: My regret is that it
: contributed to our
: divorce, but I couldn't
: 'come out' because she
: had commented before
: that she would never be
: with a smoker. I figured
: it would be best to try
: my luck at hiding it. I
: succeeded through the
: two years of our
: courtship and one year
: of subsequent marriage
: and it was the hardest
: thing I have ever done.
: I refuse to let that
: happen again. As I said,
: it may have contributed
: to our breakup because I
: was absent a few times
: each day (right after
: work) and since she got
: off work at 11am on most
: days, she would go stir
: crazy at the apartment.
: I got off work at 3 and
: was usually home by
: 4:30, so it wasn't much
: different than if I had
: worked a 9-5, but that's
: not the point. Usually I
: would "go run an
: errand" in the
: evenings. This put a
: wedge in between us, and
: she decided to call it
: quits. Actually, I
: started noticing odd
: changes in her behavior
: (distance, taking off
: her rings in the shower
: and leaving them there,
: staying out late with
: friends, etc). When I
: discussed the situation
: with her, she told me
: that she was over me and
: that she wanted someone
: else. There was no going
: back.
:
: The smoking and my
: absences contributed,
: but she made the final
: call. I was totally
: ready to turn it around,
: but she didn't want to
: have anything to do with
: resolution. I finally
: came clean, but it
: didn't change things. It
: was a sad situation,
: with much more detail
: than that, but it is one
: reason why no one should
: EVER hide ANYTHING from
: their spouse. Especially
: if it causes you to be
: away from them. You live
: and learn though...
:
: Back on topic, if she
: smokes in her car, I
: find it doubtful that
: she is hiding it from
: her boyfriend. No doubt
: he rides in or drives
: her car on occasion.
: Very interesting
: scenario here!

: Yep. She still leaves
: at the same time and is
: usually back in about 10
: minutes empty handed
: (meaning that she didn't
: run any "legitimate
: errand"). I'm sure
: she's doing what I saw
: her do that one time-
: driving around the block
: to smoke a cigarette
: before returning to the
: office to eat her lunch
: in the breakroom.
