(quick note: This was originally posted on June 21st just short of a week ago, but I totally forgot to cross-post this onto this Sightings board at first. Enjoy!)
I was coming back from a brief trip I did to Indianapolis a few days ago with my parents, and Chicago was hit with a very major storm that flooded out a lot of underpasses and exit ramps on expressways barely before I arrived home in early afternoon hours. The second round of storms did hit once evening came, so I did get an idea of how intense the first round of storms was. (vs. the less-intense 2nd round) The sighting I had this day was easily among my very top 2-3 sightings I've had this year.
Anyway, I was almost at where our normal exit was to get off going home, and 2 lanes over from the one I was in, I saw a woman, husband, and either 1-2 kids(saw at least one boy in the back, and couldn't tell from my vantage point if there was a 2nd child) in a Dodge Intrepid. The woman I saw was driving the car, appeared to be in her late 30s/early 40s, had an attractive bracelet on her arm and also sunglasses, and was smoking what appeared to be a superslim 120!
With the very weird and slow flow of traffic that day, unfortunately this sighting was more brief than I wanted it to be. After something like just over 5 minutes, I never saw her car again. Even though the sighting was shorter than I wanted it to be, it was darn great to have a mother smoking sighting again, and for the first time in a few years.
Least I'm sure that cigarette very well helped her forget how insane traffic was that day, not to mention all the numerous exits that were closed! (including the one we normally got off at, so we next did an illegal median U-turn to get out of that jam. lol)
