I guess that in this big world, you're bound to see some kid do something unusual, so I'm not shocked to see a kid that young smoke. I was really stunned, though, that no one in the restaurant even raised an eyebrow at it. I guess it is a more common event in that area than I thought. It must be considered a normal thing for a kid to do at that age. It makes you wonder, sometimes, at the strange little worlds you can end up in in this country, without even going very far.
