This board has been kind of quiet lately. Here's a couple of sightings from last week. (1) At the stoplight, I pulled up next to a red Mustang convertible (common is So. FL). Upon approach, I had seen the female arm extended from the riders side with an all-white between the fingers. A pretty blond in sunglasses. In the driver's seat, an auburned-haired young lady in sunglasses. The driver gave the rider a piece of paper to read. Then she picked up a lighter and pack of cigs from the console. She pulled out a long white, brought it to her mouth, and sparked up. A modest drag on lighting. Then she put the cig back between her lips and let it dangle while she pulled her hair up and wrapped a scrunchy about it. Then a beautifull, deep, cheek-caving drag. About a 3-second hold. Then the girls start talking. The rider puts down the paper and takes a drag. The driver is exhaling and talking at once. Then, I get my turn signal and have to leave. (2) Two days later at the same intersection (but in the transit lane this time), I catch the red light again. Next to me in the turn lane is a Mercedes convertible (but top up). The driver is a short-haired blond lady (I guess late 30s to early 40s. Attractive, but clearly not as young as the Mustang girls). She seems to fumble about with her head down, and I see her hand come up with a lighter. She makes a glance at the signal. Head back down to fumbling. Then she comes up with an all-white cig. She's back to watching the signal. Come on, honey, light that thing. She gets the green light, and drives away with lighter and cig cuddled in her left hand. Darn!
